Moon Phases Tutorial
Understanding the moon phases is a difficult concept for our 4th graders. We do a variety of classroom activities to understand why the moon changes its appearance each night. We create models, watch video explanations, study moon phase calendars, draw examples, and practice putting the phases in order. Even with all this practice, many students still need some review with this concept. In the following video tutorial, I go over waxing, waning, moon phases – and then I give a short quiz to see if kids can identify the correct phases. If you have any questions, just leave me a comment or send me an email. Hope this helps!

Mr. Brown this was very helpful. Thank you for putting this on the blog to help us.
